Welcome to Highbrow Lowlife, the independent music label run by Swedish artist Carl Abrahamsson. This is where you’ll find music by White Stains, Cotton Ferox, Vanessa Sinclair, Genesis Breyer P-Orridge, Carl Abrahamsson, Sinnelag, Understen, Deform Project, and many others.
We have been releasing great music since the early 2000s in both physical / tangible and digital formats. Although mainly a digital label, we occasionally make special editions with limited run CDs etc. We welcome other labels specializing in physical formats to contact us in regard to licensing and editions.
We also host the Highbrow Lowlife ”stream”, which features the Rendering Unconscious Podcast, Radio Mega Golem, 23rd Mind TV, Trapartisan Radio, spoken word performances, live concerts, new music and more!
At the moment, we do not release new albums by other people / projects than our own. However, both Carl Abrahamsson and Vanessa Sinclair are interested in in musical / textual / performance collaborations, so please feel free to get in touch.
